kayz here to update after nearly a month went for Lin You Jia's concert on Friday with MP/Assie for more details please visit their BLOOG where MP has this reeeally long post on the dumb retarded things that happened LOLOL. very different from a Mayday concert, but it was really o.OOOOO and totally worth the money$.$ and even + the cab fare home in the middle of the night bcoz he sang for vvv long and it was damn high esp. during the encore haha. but seriously you had to be there yeah. YUM

watched Slumdog Millionaire today with sis and cousin and ohmanohman it was super fantastic Steffi is in LURVEE and went to Kinokuniya after to buy the novel it is based on -- Q&A and i can't wait to get started reading on it even though it's really different from the movie and can you believe that DEV PATEL is only 2 YEARS OLDER THAN US AHAHAHA he looks damn old man

went to Far East with Hannah/Shir after the school new year celebrations, a shop there (Ncore i think) brings in certain Stay Real stuff if theres a collaboration btwn, and i bought this Fever shirt!

past few days gone by in a blur. been both mentally and physically exhausting: spending a night in a shopping centre, waking up at 4+am to queue for the concert itself, sitting outside the indoor stadium through sun and rain, jumping up/down nonstop for 2.5hrs during, sitting for 7hours and getting leg cramps just to get their signatures...
Mayday's gone D: it's impossible to describe MY UTTER DEVOTION. (haha have already bought the $178 tickets for August concert)

rushed down to 2J'06 class chalet after the autograph session. in the end only Eleanor Hannah me WQ Ahlong Sean stayed over lol. but it was still fun, watched some bloody stupid documentary that wasted my youth, but followed with Painted Skin which was ok. slept around 4am. woke up, had Macs breakfast with E and H, then went off to meet Sheryl for our Ponyo date! -- god the movie's hilarious and super fecking cute.

kayz am going off to sleep now. not bewn sleeping for more than 5hours straight for past week.

HAPPY NEW YEAR :D

last day of work was the 31st. even tho i usually complain about it, but am really gonna miss my friends there, esp Mich. went with her to Vivo on 31st, spent ages slugging around talking about nothing lol.

BTW! I WAS ON LIANHE WANBAO! either the sat or sun issue, cos we queued overnight for the Mayday tickets and someone took a picture. you can only see my hair and jacket tho haha. my cousin is in full view with her humongous headphones on. it's bit lame but still really cool :P

New Year's Day (01.01.09-02.01.09)
played Mahjong with cousins, went for dinner, then came home to play Mahjong again till 6+am this morning. almost 24hours without sleep lol. was supposed to go for Homecoming, but i'd probably die of exhaustion haha.
woke up at 12+. suppose i have to start my 2000 word essay now. argh sian.

p.s. Korean version of Hana Yori Dango trailer is out! on first glance, F4 looks reeally bad. but go google them, they're actually sorta good-looking.
p.p.s. completed Il Ji-Mae, ending sucked. Lee Jun Ki's hotness for 30hours kinda made up for it tho.

went to Wisma on Friday, sent my phone to the repair shop. it'll only be ok in 2 weeks time darn it. bought a Fossil watch (at 50%), my pay is depleting like crazy.

cabbed down with sis and cousins to Central @ Clarke Quay, around midnight. there were already about 10-20 people queueing in front of us. made new friends haha. played Uno, read, listened to my iPod, slept till about 4am. bought Macs, ate Macs, went back to sleep. napping on the cold hard floor of a shopping centre sucks thou, we brought a sleeping bag but it wasn't comfy. a once-in-a-lifetime experience! lol

went to watch Quantum of Solace with work friends ytd night! my first ever Bond movie, and it was actually really interesting. although how James Bond manages to miraculously survive hundreds of flying bullets, shards of glass and huge explosions and escape relatively unscathed is beyond me. Daniel Craig is really hot for an old guy.

today's the last day of school! am starting work tmr thou, no rest.

the past two years with 4G have been great. XD getting through boring classes, celebrations, level camps etcetc, wouldn't have been the same with another class. so, thanks everyone for making these two years so LURVEEEEEEELY! LOL. we'll still see each other next year i guess!

went out with Pet yesterday to watch HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3! apparently she sprinted from school to make it in time to meet me for the show haha. anyway, it totally rocked! althou there weren't any outstanding or especially catchy songs, but it was a blast! plus zac efron was kinda hot haha. walked around at City Link/Raffles Place after, looking for something to wear for prom, but argh nothing.

and I GOT MAYDAY'S ALBUMS! bought both the Singapore and Taiwan versions cos they were giving away different free stuff, XD

finally my computer has been revived.

so caught Burn After Reading with Hannah, it's seriously the weirdest movie ever. totally beyond my capacity to describe it. like a mixture of genres, thereby creating a genre of its own LOL. Brad Pitt was at his best thou, he is freaking hilarious.

SPH was so lame.

went for blood donation on Saturday! :P contrary to popular belief, it does not hurt at all. althou i vomited and fainted LOL, but that was due to some reaction thing cos i have a slightly lower blood pressure (111/66). still, it was really embarrassing to come around and find my legs above my head in a public place haha. the experience is kinda surreal actually, feeling your blood being sucked slowly from your body.

went with Hannah to PS to watch Burn After Reading but realised it wasn't out yet. then we decided on Mamma Mia and there were no bloody timings. so no movie today! ): just went to BK for lunch and bought some Winx Club thing for Shir's going away present. and library. oh well, Burn After Reading opens on Thurs, we're so gonna run to the theatres after that lame media camp thing.

this movie is a must watch! in a sentence, the plot: "A disk containing the memoirs of a CIA agent ends up in the hands of two unscrupulous gym employees who attempt to sell it." as if George Clooney and Brad Pitt aren't reasons enough, the show is getting rave reviews. there's no particular genre thou, as long as you get comedy and the underlying satire, or feel like drooling for 96mins, this is the movie for you. :D

hehehe and my name's on the list for mayday's album! coming out around the end of the month, i totally cannot wait. once it's here, the CD shop will call me and i will get to listen to ashin's beeaaaaauutiful voice!

oh and today was career day. some speakers were very interesting, some were hilarious, some were plain boring and one was just desperately trying to be funny (didn't work). butbutbut i really wanna be a journalist! althou the pay sucks, but isn't it better to have a job you love and earn less than have one you hate and earn loads. and it's so cooool and such fun. i don't mind steaming ten gazillion clothes for models if it matters. :P

SURVIVOR GABON- EARTH'S LAST EDEN
this 17th season is seriously freaking fantastic lol. it has all the necessary elements to make it a great reality show.
a) the bitches: Michelle was hilarious. "they have all the beautiful people while i'm stuck with this dorks." pity she got out at the first tribal council thou. Charlie was funny too, "what is this, stupid Survivor?" when everybody was picking the weak instead of strong people.
b) the hot guys: seriously, Matty Marcus Dan = drool. i especially love Matty, he's effing gorgeous but kinda quiet, doesn't do much.
c) the romance: Ken falls in love with Michelle, fine. but then, Charlie (a guy) falls in love with Marcus (a guy too). yes you didn't read wrongly, it's BROMANCE. too bad Marcus likes Jacque.

Even more amusing is that Charlie clearly has a crush on Marcus (he actually comments on his “beautiful blue eyes”) and Marcus totally knows it. He thinks Charlie is a handsome guy, but that’s just “not how he rolls.” And the best thing is that Marcus is totally going to flirt with Charlie to get his vote.

d) the funny personalities: Randy, this old guy is so cynical it's ROFL. when his tribe does stupid things, he just goes, "well, it's time for Operation Let Other People Crash And Burn.” hahaha and Dan actually wore a TIE to tribal council.

i love it! there are two tribes, Kota and Fang. well being me, i always support the losing team, so it's Fang for me! the team where Matty's in haha. even thou they lost pretty badly in this first two episodes, they can only improve from hereon. :D

i can tell, this is gonna be another obsession of mine.

went to Hougang Mall just now and bought new earphones. they're really cute. :D and then went to CD Rama and bought the Jonas Brothers latest album. don't judge them okay, beneath the Disney exterior and their teeny bopper image, their songs are actually kind of nice. made an ecology system in Biology prac that day. we took three fishes! the biggest orange one is named Michael (Phelps), the second orange one is Mickey cos he has a mickey head shape on his butt and the smallest grey one is Minnie (mini) hahaha.

okay so the movie wasn't the best i ever watched, but it was still great! hot guys, diabetic love, cheesy lines, nekkid bodies, crazily huge hotel rooms, intense action scenes etcetc. plus my love for Shun Oguri has been rekindled haha.

am taking a teeny break from studying for EOYs, here to post in honour of the Olympics. the past 16 days have been very very exciting, and today it all comes to an end.

many outstanding athletes. of course there's Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt, and some of my favourites: Shawn Johnson, Fabio Luiz, Andreas Thorkildsen, Li Xiao Peng etcetc.

incidentally, Andreas Thorkildsen was born on April's Fool Day (hahaha). he got the gold medal for Men's Javelin Throw and is the cutest person on this Earth :P

and no elaboration needed, Michael Phelps is THE best Olympian ever. he got featured on Sports Illustrated and will write a book telling the story behind his historic eight gold medal swims, "Built to Succeed".
go read today's Straits Times, Pg42, headlined: "Usain Bolt, One of a kind, or one kind?"

even the losers were hilarious. watched the Olympic highlights just now, some Cuban guy kicked the referee for disqualifying him and got banned for life from any Taekwondo events.

and there are so many new movies and dramas coming soon! probably going to put my HotShot/Basketball on hold until after exams. Gossip Girl premiering Sept1, Hana Yori Dango coming to theatres on Sept4, and Camp Rock showing on Disney Channel on Sept 7. all before exams god. i can't bloody wait for the exams to be over.

Olympics been going on, everybody's talking about the amazing Michael Phelps and how sexy he is (i don't see it). and how he's got 11 gold medals already, or is he on to his 12th one?

i'm back! although i wonder if anyone will still read this.

had some stupid jogathon thing yesterday. total waste of time, it was so bloody hot. some mediacorp guy Benjamin Heng (if anyone knows or cares) came and sang with us a few national day songs.

went to Tampines Mall after, ate lunch at Swensen's with most of the class. :) had some burger thing. then Yi Ling, Pet and i went to watch The Dark Knight! wanted the 4pm show, but even after so long the show's still super popular, all sold out. so we ended up with the 5pm timing.

AND OMFG IT'S GREAT. i thought all the hype about the show was because of Heath Ledger's unfortunate passing, but seriously after watching it! the show is F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C. Batman was definitely not one of my favourite superheroes, but Christian Bale has changed my mind. and the Joker (aka Heath) was genuinely creepy. Yi Ling was covering her eyes at some parts, although Pet was sorta calm throughout lol. i cried at the end thou, it was a little sad and scary.

Heath Ledger really deserves an Oscar for this role. performance was unbelivable, you have to watch the movie to get what i mean i guess. impossible to describe what he pulled off.

hmm there were some subtle cleverness in the show. for example, the Joker was driving this old carnival van and the slogan on the side was "Laughter is the best medicine." he added an S in front, so it became "SLAUGHTER is the best medicine." how cool is that. also, a quote that i really liked, "The night is darkest before the dawn."

Batman: The Dark Knight was the #1 movie at the box office for the third weekend in row; pulling in more than $43 million dollars and bringing its total haul over $400 million bucks.

and i almost forgot,

Am using a repaired notebook to blog now. :) Just in case my com crashes again i wouldn't be left hanging. In any case my com is fine now.

Woke up at 7.45 today morning (urgh) to go to Hannah's church. Becos they sponser half a movie ticket lol. But i lived through it yeah haha, and surprisingly even enjoyed the 1hr+, esp the singing bits.

Then went to Suntec with Hannah and her church friends, ate at the Ramen restaurant (i ate curry chicken cutlet and it was :\). Visited Harris and bought another copy of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire solely for re-re-re-re-reading purposes. Unbelievably it was only $15 cos of GSS and they were having this 20% storewide sale. :D Such amazing literature at such a cheap price haha.

We were kinda running behind time, so cabbed back to cathay for NARNIA. When we reached there it was already so late we didn't bother checking the cinema number. It was so dumb we walked into the wrong theatre and sat there for 15 mins watching the epic battle scene, and we're like huh isn't this supposed to be the last part. Thought the movie was using the flashback technique or something, but no we realised it wasn't so we ran out of the cinema and got into the correct one hahaha. Didn't miss much though, just the starting will probably watch it online or maybe rewatch it in the cinema again lol.

Okay narnia was fantastic. It was even better than the first one if you can believe it. The 2 hrs 25 mins felt like 1.5 hrs and i so didn't want it to end. Not hurting was the totally good-looking cast lol. Don't wanna reveal much, but really go watch it you won't regret it. I mean, i watched the epic battle scene twice and i wasn't even bored. I can totally quote caspian now ("i am not sure i'm ready"). Haha okay so go catch the movie! One of the best fantasy films ever.

Oh and Skandar Keynes (Edmund Pevensie) was *drool*. Will blog about him another day hehe. An interesting fact: he is the great-great-great grandson of Charles Darwin! how cool is that. :)

today is the last day of school! it's officially the june holidays now. even though we have loads of homework and need to start studying for end years, it's a good time to relax and have fun before mugging like crap :)

went out with pet today. hanyin had tuition and tang had band, so there was only the two of us :P wanted to watch Narnia but realized it only comes out on the 29th. so we were decided to skip the movies and went to swensen's to have lunch.

went out w tang pet hy to marina square to celebrate tang's bday. went to kenny roger's for lunch :)

our $60+ lunch treat :P

then we went to action city and i bought a cookie monster to hang on my phone (cookie monster=david cook fans lol)

hmm then i think it's our lucky charm cos after that we were walking then tang was like "omg isn't that nat ho?!" and we stalked that guy and yeah it was haha. so we like stood for 15 mins before going up to ask him if we could take photos. then we walked away and realised we didn't take the photo so we had to go back again lol. lucky he was nice about it yeah, and cos his earphones were blaring i could hear that he was listening to MAYDAY! hahaha :D

MAYDAY CONCERT WAS F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!

cousins' dad picked sis and i up. reached indoor stadium at 6plus, there was still plenty of time so we went leisure park to walk around, and there was a dog show and they were all so adorable lol. anyway went in the stadium at 7plus. everyone was already super excited and stuff. at 8.30 suddenly all lights went off, and the concert started!!

was hungry so went for supper with my uncle/auntie/cousins/sis. reached home at 1plus, by the time i bathed it was already 2 was so tired.

went for hamlet ytd night :D just slacked in the school library with hanyin, qianhui, pamela, shiying, tashi, vanessa, stephanie the entire time. then some of them went to dance lessons, so we watched from above, and hahaha the dance instructor looks like a gay version of matsujun! lol.

hmm then at 6 made way to city hall with tang pet hy and ate at mos burger. went to raffles hotel jubilee hall for the play.

the play was really nice! some parts were funny, and there were more than a few sexual innuendos haha. yep overall it was worth it, plus the hall was freaking cool and seats were comfy :)

then went home with shir and hannah, and reached home at 11plus. bathed, watched mtv, slept. and tonight i'll be going for mayday concert! :D can't wait. see ya!

went out for a movie yesterday with hanyin petrina qianhui yiling valerie :) wanted to watch rule #1 but the person didn't allow us to buy the tickets cos it was according to birthdate and not year boo. so we watched vantage point instead! and it was quite exciting haha

then qianhui left, and we just hung around at HMV and bought petrina her super super belated bday present- my girl OST :P yay can take it on monday for the songs.

just to prove petrina wrong, i will not take a picture of my stub and post it here, (haha so there!)

bought a new tv! :D yay its big so i can see the zits on people's faces when i watch lol. and you can split the screen into 2 so i can watch two programmes at once! god tv addict's heaven *swoon*

'Let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ.' The atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand.

'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'

'Yes sir,' the student says.

'So you believe in God?'

'Is God good?'

'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'

Without allowing the student to answer, the professor continues: 'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do they exist in this world?'

The student: 'Yes.'

'So who created them?'

The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his question. 'Who created them? There is still no answer. Suddenly the lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is mesmerized.

'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in Jesus Christ, son?'

The student's voice is confident: 'Yes, professor, I do.'

The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?'

'No sir. I've never seen Him.'

The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain.

We can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest-458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat. Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom, sounding like a hammer.

You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'

The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time. 'Flawed? Can you explain how?''

'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'

'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

''If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes, of course I do."

'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?' The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.

'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?'

The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the commotion has subsided.

'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give you an example of what I mean.'

The student looks around the room.'Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into laughter.

'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt the professor's brain, touched or smelled the professor's brain? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?'

Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his face unreadable.

Finally, after what seems an eternity,the old man answers. 'I guess you'll have to take them on faith.'

'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?'

Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'

To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God.

God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.'

anyway, american idol season 7 is great. haha been following it since the first episode, auditions were super funny, and just now the final 24 were announced! :D

danny is kind of girly, so he appears to be gay but maybe it's just a stereotype :P anyway, he was the first one i noticed and support, he has a FANTASTIC voice :) :) he aced hollywood week and got into the final 24 without trouble haha. oh and he's 18. CLICK HERE to see his audition!

had new year celebrations in school today :) loads of funny things happened haha. hanyin didn't come cos of fever :P get well soon ah. petrina yiling me went around selling tickets and stuff, then we went up to the happy haunted house to see how things were going and it was damn amusing cos people faked scream inside.

went out ytd night with hannah karmen jiahui xingqi yixiang mr yeo xiayuan kiatshing jiateck. had ramen and it was vv spicy, karmen almost died haha.
